Most of the rotary joints used in internal mixers are D-type rotary joints. So far it's still the same. Only small internal mixers and open mixers use Q-type rotary joints and H-type rotary joints. This is because the vibration of large internal mixers is relatively large. The requirements for rotary joints are relatively high. Regarding the use and precautions of the rotary joint of the internal (external) mixer.

Tire factories and other enterprises that require a large amount of rubber mixing generally use large tonnage internal mixers. The operation requirements for the internal mixer are very high. The rotary joints of the mixer are installed in two directions. It can be returned separately. One of the rollers of the internal mixer is fixed. Just rotate it. The other one moves along with the opening and closing of the cabin door. So, it is required that the connected pipeline can freely expand and swing. After the internal mixer is filled with materials, there will be significant vibration when it is turned on. Although the installation of the mixer has taken into account the issue of vibration and installed shock-absorbing and fixing devices on the ground, the vibration is still very large. The higher the tonnage, the greater the vibration. Both Q-type rotary joints and H-type rotary joints cannot work in a vibrating environment.

The Q-type rotary joint relies on spherical sealing. There is a range of oscillation between the sealing ring and the spherical surface of the tube ball. However, leakage is still prone to occur during momentary vibrations. The H-type rotary joint is a flat seal. It is also difficult to maintain good contact with the plane under vibration. Although the sealing form of the D-type rotary joint is basically the same as that of the H-type. But the D-ring is equipped with a fixing device during assembly. Ensure that the D-ring does not deviate during vibration. And adding a spring on the outside of the pressurized corrugated compensator is equivalent to a double increase. Avoiding the formation of gaps between the D-ring and the shaft end face due to insufficient pressure. When vibration occurs, the sealing effect is better than that of H-type rotary joints and Q-type rotary joints.
